Portrait Number 1

Yay, my first attempt at a portrait since 3rd grade, and my first attempt at traditional art since 5th. I don't think I did too bad all things considered.

I needed an art subject so I scoured the internet for a girl that was to my liking and I found one. So the image is 80% what I saw from the picture and 20% what I thought I would like better. I don't know much about pencil grades but I used one called a 2B and an extra black pencil too. I'm thinking that I will go out and buy some cheap colored pencils and color this in because I think it will look better like that... we'll see.

This first drawing is dedicated to Julie, because without her influence my art supplies would still be sitting in some random place in my home, never being used.

Also, I don't want critique on this piece... you can come back an critique me when I have a few more drawings and I'm not making any improvement on my own. But I do take technical suggestions, like "eyebrows look better if you use an up-and-down stroke" or some other babble like that.
